So, this, of course, is Fillydelphia as depicted in Fallout Equestria (and more recently in Murky Number Seven), home of slavery, inequine treatments and painful deaths...but they say it's to rebuild Equestria, so it's okay, and they're not slaves, they're workers. :redeye:
As I'm sure you guessed, I recently finished all the available chapters of MN7 and, no kidding, Fuzzy knows how to both make you laugh and cry with only ten lines (and 40K words chapters, too...). Great story, awesome characters (Chainlink Shackles is terrifying !), and really nice style !
Quite happy with how this turned out in the end, I've got to say.
This picture is only a small (yeah, small...) part of a much bigger project that I really hope i'll be able to finish, 'cuz it'll for sure take some months...
The level of detail is, again, amazing.
In this picture you can really hear the thundering heavy machinery and smell the acrid poison pouring out of those smokestacks.
(I'm an evil motherfucker huehuehue).
Me likey. Me likey a lot.
So....its basically like "The Pitt" from fallout 3 except with a little New Vegas thrown in..and...More Terrifying. XD (damn Pinkie rollercoaster)
Its basically how I imagined it: A giant wall protecting the city, the pinkie balloons (though I imagined them more Broken down and Rusty looking) and all the ruins outside the wall (I even noticed you put the little tiny steel ranger logo at the bottom right! Nice!)
All and all a great location and someplace that seems like my type of local to visit in a fallout like world! Death behind every corner, loot yet un-looted and the Rusty, Creepy industrial Vibe! Never stop dude
I can see Red-Eye in one of those Pinkie balloons, shouting "Weeee!" as he rides in them.
It's always good to see people notice those little details. Totally worth including them !
Now I have butterflies flying around in my head and Guile's theme playing in the background.
Seeing the author herself telling me that...It makes me prouder than you might think. Really.
Thank you ever so much ! <3
Kinda shows how well described Fillydelphia was in the story(ies).
Thank you ! =]
It's the little touches though, the Ranger stronghold on the outside (as there was in FOE) and the rollercoaster like barbed wire around the city. throw in a few mismatching Pinkie smiles and absolutely nailing the scene just seems to happen.
Very VERY impressed, and of course while I'm here I'm really glad you enjoyed MN7 too. Hope that the future stuff goes just as well for ya, production's going well for new things very soon.
I'm glad to see you like the picture. If you want to use it in any kind of way, feel free to do so, since I drew this right after finishing MN7, it can be considered fan art of your story. =]
Good luck for your story, I REALLY hope you'll manage to finish it. A lot of people want to see how Murky's adventures end, and it would for sure be a great achievement to join the other major stories that have been completed.
And it will definitely finish! No ifs or buts! From here till the end is fully planned, it just needs refined and written ^^
And Fillydelphia does change, I think...after Ditzy's Radboom and ten years without Red Eye, it definitely can't be the same city anymore.
Maybe when I'm done with the reste of the project, I'll consider drawing Fillydelphia in another way.
Anyway, thanks a lot !
Oh, and thanks a lot !
Just the right oppressive feel ^^
